Lurraga. Knockacarn. Gortglob. Island. Names don’t get much better than this. These are almost the most beautifully named townlands in Ireland. Craggycurridane west. Mmm. That’s the one.
Sometimes family and townland becomes interconnected and for the really lucky ones, the song of the townland is the song of their ancestors.
